UNITED FASHION PROJECT LAUNCHED AT THE 4TH EUROPEAN FASHION SUMMIT
Fashion is about change. Embracing this is the European Fashion Summit: an annual gathering of over 30 European fashion councils and institutions that come together to discuss the challenges and the future of fashion in Europe. Here, at the fourth edition of the summit on the 14th and 15th November 2017 at MAD Brussels*, the four-year United Fashion project was unveiled.
The first fashion-related cross-border project in the Creative Europe programme, United Fashion aims to promote entrepreneurial creativity and innovation in order to enhance business opportunities for European fashion designers. Key areas of focus include education, sustainability, fashion tech, lobbying and the creation of a Europe-wide database. Through this project, it was also announced that the European Fashion Federation will launch in September 2018.
Sourcebook is proud to be an associated partner of the European Fashion Summit and look forward to seeing you at the next United Fashion event during the Copenhagen Fashion Summit on the 15th & 16th May 2018!
*The European Fashion Summit was held during Madifesto: the MAD Brussels Fashion Festival. Set up in 2011, the government-funded Mode and Design Centre (MAD) Brussels is located in the heart of the city as a hub and shop window for the local fashion and design industries.
